Common Hook Thorn - Acacia caffra.

Acacia caffra is an attractive, fast growing, drought and frost resistant tree, whose distribution is limited to most of the former Transvaal, Kwazulu-Natal and a band that extends down the coast through the Transkei to the Eastern Cape.

Acacia caffra is a very dominant tree on the Highveld and can be found in just about any clump of trees in Gauteng.
